World Cup 2018

Will Ronaldo, personally win the 2018 World Cup? If you live on Madeira there is no other way to view the situation. My car is parked about a 20min walk from where I live. I had just come out of the garage to start to walk home. Suddenly there was an almighty roar, and I swear the Island moved. It seems that at that moment Ronaldo had scored his third goal in Sochi. The sound came from every apartment, bar, cafe, etc.etc. I bet they heard it in Sochi :-) I didn't watch the game, but have seen umpteen endless replays of goal number three. Have to admit it was  impressive.

What is a Baby Boomer? Well apparently anyone born at the end of WWII until about 19661/2. So I qualify. I lived for about 65 years without a mobile phone. Had no computer for 50 years.Was it a problem? No. Things just happened at a different pace. Today everything is instant and nobody want's to wait. I well remember when I was working for P&G in Brussels that people would telephone me to check I had received their e mail, and want to know when I would reply.Because for them it was urgent! WTF? So I just plan to use this Blog to note my observations about how I see the world and the events that pass me by. My Blogs will not be regular, they will be random.
